Bengals and Kettering Health Team Up to Intercept Cancer

Last football season, the Cincinnati Bengals partnered with Kettering Health for the Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer initiative, pledging $1,000 for every interception made by the Bengals defense. With 15 interceptions, the team raised $15,000 to support cancer prevention and early detection.

In the spring of 2025, the Bengals and Kettering Health marked the campaign’s success with a check presentation benefiting the Crucial Catch Fund, a fund of the Kettering Health Foundation. Established in 2023, the fund strengthens community access to screenings, education, and risk‑reduction resources.

The Foundation is grateful to the Bengals and to the players whose efforts extend hope, support, and lifesaving care far beyond the field.

Audrey’s Lemonade Stand for Cancer Patients

When Deb Zimmerman began chemotherapy at Kettering Health Troy’s Cancer Center, her granddaughter, Audrey, wanted to support patients like her grandmother.

Audrey and her friends set up a lemonade stand, selling drinks, friendship bracelets, and blueberry muffins to raise funds. Their efforts brought in $177, which they donated to the Troy cancer center to support transportation assistance for patients.

Audrey’s compassion shows that generosity has no age limit and that small acts can create meaningful impact. We are grateful for her kindness and the hope it brings to patients in our community.
